  1. A parrot is any BIRD of the order 
  2. Psittaciformes, abundant in the tropics, 
  3. especially in Australia and South America. 
  4. They are mainly vegetarian, and range in size 
  5. from the 8╜cm (3╜inches), pygmy parrot to the 
  6. 100cm (40inches) Amazon parrot. The smaller 
  7. species are commonly referred to as 
  8. parakeets. Parrots are very good at imitating 
  9. human speech.
